11 x 14" Color pencil on sulphite paper. Completed during practice on 3-12-10, this color pencil drawing attempts to capture the childhood joy and adult pride in winning the Olympic Gold Medal in Hockey. Stylistically, I wanted to convey a sense of timelessness and used a softer, but more technically controlled pencil stroke for a nostalgic feel. Pictured are the Blackhawks three gold-medalists: (left to right) Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook.
