Players, bench personel and on-ice officials are always in the spotlight, but behind the stars are the off ice officials, camera crew, press and directors. Although it's typical in a painting containing an athlete or celebrity to eliminate or fade out the people in the background, I made this painting of Doug specifically into a tribute to the folks who work in the 'background' as well!"
