Since my contract's arrived today, I guess it's public info that the Hawk's will be hosting the first annual 'Streetfest' to coincide with the opening day of training camp, Saturday, September 20. I hope the Chicago Bears take notice because I think it's a pretty cool thing! The Bears training camp has always been a great and inexpensive way to meet the team and generate excitement, but combining the other activities of the 'Streetfest' would make it even better- so way to go again, Blackhawks! Another first for the new management and PR team! There are not a lot of details out yet, but a general outline would be something like this: A 10k run and fun stuff outside to mark the occasion in the morning, with vendors, exhibitors and celebs in the concourse of the UC (for those who aren't into the running), and YOUR Chicago Blackhawks on the ice in the United Center making there debut on what promises to be the most exciting season in decades. I'll be there, in the concourse, selling and signing prints and I'll have a give away of an autographed player's series print of either Seabs, Wiz or Duncan Keith!
So make plans to join me and the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center on Saturday, Sept. 20 for another first time event!!!!!
